It's finals week, and I'm not going to be OK until Friday. Each test is 200 Questions and if it's a continuation(ish) of last semester's class, stuff from January up until now will appear on the tests.

We started with Microbiology and Funeral Home Directing. The Micro final was described as "nasty", and it sure was. The first 100 Questions were from Semester One, thankfully, but the second set came from the 100+ microbes, their pathogenicities, common names, AKAs, portals of entry/exit, modes of transmission, and the AKAs for their pathogenicities. Stuff like

-The organism Yeseria Pestis's mode of transmission is?
-What is the AKA for the disease given by Aspergillus Fumigatus?
-Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever is caused by (choices are not the names of organisms, but "Bacillus? Streptococci? Streptococcus? Staphylococcus?)
- Q-Fever is caused by (A Rickettsia? A bacteria? A Virus? A Chlamidia? A Spore Former? Two of these? None of these?)
- Psittacosis is transmitted how?
- Franciella Tularensis is (Viscerotrophic? Pneumotrophic? Three more Like This? Two of these answers are correct? None of these are correct?)

I think I did alright enough.

Then there was Funeral Home Directing. On the last day of class, Father F. gave us a sheet of 200 questions and said "Of these 200, you'll be seeing 150, plus 50 more." Having not really looked at the study sheet Father F. gave us, I didn't notice much, but when I got out, my classmates were quite ticked off. Apparently, not a single question from that sheet was there. Not only that, but the test had questions about the order of processions in funerals (Family follows casket follows clergy, follows so and so), which we really never looked at. I found it no big deal, though I admit that I've got other things on my mind.

There was one question...
The funeral invoice calls for a casket 6'6 in Length, 22'' Width. The invoice reads 6'6XX. What is the width of the oversized casket?
When it comes to casket invoices, X attached to Length means "Add three", and all of the answers were in inches, not feet. I went crazy for a bit trying to convert when "Hang on... you want the width?" He's going to trick a lot of people with that one.

Tomorrow is Chemistry and Restorative Art. It'll likely be just definitions, so I'm taking Quizzes my classmates made. Really, chem is not that bad at all.

After that, two days of finals I'm terrified of.

Anatomy Final on Wednesday. You don't understand how very badly I need a great grade in this final. My confidence is shot ever since the WTFery of last semester's final. 200 Questions, circulation, muscles, bones, the lymphatic system, and the digestive system, including the chemicals and enzymes of the latter two.

Pathology Final. It wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have such a vile grade (I think) going into the final. It's all just definitions, really! And I did just fine on the Mid Term and every test after. But it's on Thursday. Same day as

Mr. Em's 200 Question Troll-Lol-Lol U Mad Bro? Embalming Final. Everything from last semester, plus sutures, embalming chemicals, linear guides, anatomical guides/limits, and I don't know what-all. He swears we've seen ever single question already ("except two") which is kinda nice. I suppose. He also says "If you are failing my class, and you pass my final, I'll give you a passing grade." This isn't me, but I don't want to fail anyway.

We'll be going into the final with a few extra points anyway, but lemmie tell you, on every single test we've taken with him this semester (I swear I'm not making this up) the following scenario has taken place in some form or another.

Mister Em: Question 34! Blah blah blah, the answer was, of course, C.
Students: Wait, I marked C! It's marked wrong!
Mister Em: Al'riight, al'riiight, keep your shirts on; I'll add a few points. Question 35 Blah... wait a minute. I fell for my own trick. It's B on the answer sheet, I put A. ...Fell for my own trick... ok, and Question 36, I threw out...

So my grade's a few points higher than whatever I think it is. That's decent of him.

I'm not optimistic about those last three finals. I realize that in these entries it's customary to comment with the "you can do it!" messages, and that's very kind, but I'm not going to take them well. I'm doing my best, but fully expecting a Bad News Phone Call on Monday or Tuesday saying either

(A)"second chance final?"
This is the preferable of the two, I suppose. Since these finals are literally One Half of our Final Grade, if the final wasn't high enough for a passing grade (75%) then a student can take a second chance final. That's if you failed, at maximum, two subjects. Three Subjects and forget it. And lest we forget, Even if a student got A's in everything else, if their final grade in one class is, say, a 73? That's the end of the line; they'll have to re-take that entire semester. I'm thinking that the Dreaded Phone Call will come about Anatomy and/or Path.

(B) "See ya in January!"
And even this I'm gearing up to face. Yeah, it's that bad.

I've got so many feelings about how this all came to pass, and they're the type that unless explained in tl;dr detail, look really, really bad. I'll let them out on the 9th or so, when I know my Final Disposition.

I sure could use some Hardcore Lovely Distraction on Friday/Saturday/Sunday, so I'm camping on Gtalk on that day. Except maybe Sunday. Sunday, I'm thinking of taking a Soma Vacation, so that at least if Hell comes on Monday, I'll be too doped up to care much.
