I'm seriously thinking about removing bottom_draco and hpstoryfinders from my friend list and de-friending them.

For Bottom_D, every single story is H/D, without fail. I thought it was supposed to be about variety and creativity! Sure, it's a popular pairing. Sure there's no accounting for the people that join posting what they just happen to like. But Jesus, it's like nobody wants to post a thing that isn't H/D. There are plenty of other pairings to resort to, my OTP (Ron Draco forever, a-ha-men) excluded. Oliver/Draco? Percy/Draco? Twins/Draco! Snape/Draco, even! Where the fuck is the Snape/Draco? Oh, right- coupled with H/D.



I'm seriously starting to despise that pairing- the 90's 4Kids DragonBall Z of fanfiction. By that, I mean back in the day when there was no anime on basic cable and all of the poor would-be weeaboos had no choice but to sate themselves on DragonBall Z until they could get down to a store for a decent bootleg. Either that or pay up to forty dollars for a video tape from FYI or Best Buy (GET OFF MY LAWN!).

Storyfinders is sort of the same. Joined it because I (stupidly) thought that people would be looking for interesting stories and commenting with links. Most of the requests, though, go unanswered and most of the requests are... well...

Hi i'm looking for a fic that was centered on another couple but Draco and charlie was in it and charlie gave draco a necklace that bound him to charlie, Draco can't resist things that has a dragon name or from a dragon. I think it was SS/Hp.

HP/SS main pairing with LM/HP non con scene.
Severus gets a divorce from his wife who is a vampire.
Harry is bitten by a vampire which proves poisonous to the vampire and Severus saves him.

The Fandom's stagnating. All that'll be left in a few years will be SS/HP, SS/HG, and R/HR. How I miss the golden days of fanfiction.

But I'm just being pessimistic and annoyed. There are still plenty of communities out there where the same old is not permitted. I just have to find it.

If it's any consolation, almost all of the Hermione/Snape out there is pure crap. And one of the few decent HG/SS stories actually contains far more Ron/Draco than HG/SS, despite the latter ostensibly being the main pairing. Like...HGSS were still subtext at the end while RWDM got married or something. I'm admittedly fuzzy on the details...but from what I remember it really should have been filtered under RWDM instead.

And ahahaha, I wish I could find good Ron/Hermione. It would be great to see fandom take that mess and write it well, but I've yet to see a single worthwhile story for the pairing.

Oooh! do direct me to this SS/HG! I've grown a place in my heart just for that pairing. Ron/Draco would just sweeten the deal!

I do have a few femmeslash pieces. Let me quickly look up your user info... ah. No, guess you aren't in any of the communities I'm in. Yes, as of now, I only have a few femmeslash works, one of them in fem_exchange for Star55. ... You know, I really should go back and tag my entries!

If you friend me, I'd be glad to take your art plot bunnies and grow them, though. I've been on a drawing kick lately.

Like said, I haven't read it in a long time, so I'm fuzzy on the details. I remember it as being, well, not bad, but no more specific than that concerning quality ^^; (And the 'DM/HP' in the summary is incorrect.)

Well, I'm just an observer of the HP fandom- I never have any plot bunnies for it, fic or art ^^; I'll think about it, though, and thank you!

Was the picture for the femmeslash exchange Luna/Hermione? It must have been removed from the hosting service, because it's no longer available. I'm finding that a lot of the femmeslash fanart up on LJ and IJ is no longer hosted...
