Do you have any RP pet peeves?See the above. Also, I can't stand people who don't contribute to throwing around plot ideas. I can only think up so much, and even then, that's when we bounce ideas around TOGETHER.
Gripes about the current state of RPing?Ummm...Nothing much. Can't find people to RP obscure characters from various fandoms, but other than that, nothing.

I like to do age-play kink in some of my RP's, and the only time I found someone to RP it with me, it turns out they were kind of crazy and really terrible at RP-ing...and this isn't the first time they've RP'd. But like, their posts are so ridiculously short, horribly misspelled, and if they're not God-moding the shit out of my characters, their characters do ridiculously inappropriate things. Like, mine could tell theirs that mine loved them, and then theirs would just...run and hide under a bed or something. Like...WTF?!

Introduce us to one of your characters from any game ever One of my most-played (most-loved too) characters is Dok from the Hellsing manga/OVA's. He's canonly a Nazi, and in one of Kouta Hirano's mini-hentais, we learned that Dok has magical capabilities (or at least can perform some dark arts). I really played that up in a lot of RP's, turned him into a proper occultist. He also dresses in really REALLY skimpy clothes in the canon and it's mostly assumed in the fandom that he's gay, so instead of just being a Nazi, he's now a Flamazi (short for Flaming Nazi). XD
Which two characters (that you've played) would you like on your team for the outbreak of the zombie virus? Dok from Hellsing and Walden MacNair from Harry Potter because who wouldn't want an evil Nazi occultist and an angry Scottish Death Eater when there are zombies around? They'd be...absolutely perfect.
You ever have a severe disagreement with your character? Well, if you did, what would it likely be about? Ummm...Most of my characters are into severe drug use and white supremacy/blood purity, none of which I condone. So...Yeah. That.

Tell us about one challenging thing in RP that you’ve gone through or that you’re perpetually going through: Plot-fidgetiness (that's not a word, is it?). I tend to jump around a lot and find it hard to settle on one story, game, or plot for very long. Also, I cannot write sex scenes to save my life, but sometimes I try anyway and lol, fml.
Do you have any RP pet peeves? Always having to come up with plots / think of everything, being made to feel like I'm solely responsible for a plot not working out or something.
Gripes about the current state of RPing? I don't think I really have any?
How about stuff you just don’t do in RP I cannot for the life of me play a dominant character. Do not ever, ever ask me to. I can do sub or switch/middle-of-the-road, but I can't play dominant characters.
Go on, tell us an RP horror story from your past. Please. Oh god. Um, well, I once RPed with this girl~ and she had been my friend for a while, you know, whatever, so I basically let her run me over with a steamroller and do whatever she wanted, lol. Anyway, she had this original character who... basically ended up in ALL of our fandom RPs. And she was the Mary Sue to end all Mary Sues, complete with Tragic Past, superpowers, and hooking up with one of the canon characters I tended to play most often. She had another OC who also featured heavily in one particular fandom, who hooked up with a canon main, had special powers, and was just ~oh so sweet, etc. I didn't think she was a Sue at the time because I mistakenly thought one of my characters not liking her much meant she wasn't a Sue. *facepalm* Oh, to be young and ignorant again. Anyway, I basically was subjected to her Mary Sues until she apparently decided I wasn't worth her time anymore and just stopped contacting me altogether, no matter how much I contacted her, and I finally got through to her long enough to break it off something like six months later. It was really kinda heartbreaking, even if she was a rotten RPer.

Introduce us to one of your characters from any game ever I WILL TALK ABOUT BAILEY HERE, because Bailey is amazing, lol. Basically, Bailey Halverson (portrayed in the pic by the Souldoll Gisele I've modeled after her) is a Midwestern trans girl, who used to work at her parents' motel. Her parents are horrible, awful people, but her older brother (who is very in the closet, lol) Jensen is pretty amazing. Anyway, she haaated it there, so when a hot guy with an awesome car stayed at the motel while passing through, she begged him to let her come along, even though she barely knew his name (Which is Ace [portrayed by a Loongsoul Doll Ivan], btw). He let her, and as he's turned out to be a really amazing guy (understatement of the year -- he's basically the perfect man, lol), they've been traveling together ever since, braving all sorts of bad shit, up to and including Bailey getting kidnapped by a private investigator her parents hired to bring her home, running into Ace's old Army buddies, and Bailey doing drunken karaoke.

Tell us about one challenging thing in RP that you’ve gone through or that you’re perpetually going through:I hate that people automatically assume that I want to do some sort of smut, or romance play because I'm a woman. I hate playing the damsel in distress. I like writing fight scenes. Yes, I'm probably better at it than most dudes. I also hate that people assume that my characters are hot. A lot of them can be called exotic at best, and almost all of them sport battle scars- and ugly ones at that. I create my characters for story, if love or lust fits the story, fine. But I hate writing that crap just for the sake of someone else's fantasy.
Do you have any RP pet peeves? I hate that one dude that trolls AIM and AOL chats asking if anyone wants to RP with a horse. It's...creepy. Now if he wanted to RP My little Ponies, that'd be a different story....
Gripes about the current state of RPing? The Dungeons and Dragons style RP, and White Wolf based World of Darkness action/adventure RP is impossible to find, and when you do find it, it dies off in a matter of weeks.
How about stuff you just don’t do in RP I don't RP men, but it's only because I suck at it, and I KNOW I suck at it. I'm more than happy to NPC them, but I don't think I could run a whole campaign or story as a male character. It just doesn't keep my interest long enough. Also, I suck at writing sex scenes. I don't like it, I don't even bother because I'm a twelve year old at heart and I giggle uncontrollably and it makes my writing suck even more than it usually does.

Ani is my baby. She's my oldest character and she's been transferred from an ancient table top Dungeons and Dragons game, to AOL, to random other interwebz RP. She's a Drow, (for those of you not familiar with the fantasy stuff think black skinned evil elf) and a Psionic which is a fancy word for really scary psychic. She's also a trained assassin. She's horribly vain, slightly humorous- if you like dark humor, and completely without concept of morals, ethics, or acceptable human behavior. Also, she'd got the essence of a shadow demon locked away in her head. They argue with each other on occasion and it's highly amusing. She has thoughts about taking over the world, but she usually gets distracted by some sort of anti-heroics before she can do any real world-breaking damage. If you're really interested in her, there's some short stories and RP logs floating around on this journal. Which two characters (that you've played) would you like on your team for the outbreak of the zombie virus? I played Illyria for a long time in a Buffy the Vampire Slayer post series ending RPG here on livejournal. She was totally fun, and a told asskicker. Also, Old One...so, Zombies, not really an issue for her. Also, Ani, the character from above- she's pretty much since been retired, mostly because in our Dungeons and Dragons table top game, she's been leveled so high that she'd be considered a Goddess and could just wander around blowing up zombies with her mind. Also, she might try to subvert the zombie horde and make them her own evil army of undead to take over the world.
You ever have a severe disagreement with your character? Well, if you did, what would it likely be about? Nope, not really. Most of my characters are some aspect of me, with the volume turned up. They're me if I was morally bankrupt enough to do the things I only joke about? And if that doesn't scare you off, you're amazeballs. XD

Do you have any RP pet peeves? Uh. Hm. I don't like when people are all "oh my character is so quirky!" and then don't actually have anything quirky about them. That sort of thing. Show, don't tell, people!
Gripes about the current state of RPing? People judging by PB choice and icons. This is mostly an IJ thing but it drives me to distraction.

Go on, tell us an RP horror story from your past. Please. Okay, there was this girl I used to play with over AIM. We mostly played Transformers, though there was some other stuff in there. Anyway. I started out playing Starscream, because he is awesome and snarky and kind of a bastard. She created a huge Mary Sue of a femme Decepticon for Screamer to fall in love with. She didn't want him to be a snarky bastard, she wanted him to be a romantic woobie who was head over heels in love with her girl. Then she added more and more characters she wanted me to play, all falling for the same girl. Whether it was in character to do so or not. Then she became jealous when I started playing with other people, and threatened them. And sent me money to keep playing with her. And was all-around unsettling.

Introduce us to one of your characters from any game ever: I mostly play fandom canon-y stuff and have many many boys that I am enamored with. None of them are magic or really remarkable in any way, but that is how things go sometimes. Anyway. This is Georg Zirschnitz. He started out as a minor character from the musical Spring Awakening I was playing to fill out the roster of schoolboys in a fandom RP. He didn't really have much characterization in the show, so most of it was up to me. He is now a worrying, tightly-wound boy who is struggling to find his way in a world where what he wants to do with his life is exactly the opposite of what he's expected to do. He's smart, an amazing piano player and, well, thouroughly ridiculous and quite and aware of it. He's fussy and stubborn and far more sensitive than 19th century Germany really allows. And I love him dearly.

You ever have a severe disagreement with your character? Well, if you did, what would it likely be about? They don't really like the horrible things I put them through, but we generally get along with each other ;)

It's about the characters and the plot. (Hi, Captain Obvious.) Also it should be mentioned that I do like my games to be pairing/relationship-centric, and I do like some hot smut in my games - mostly gay smut (hey, you say "sublimation" like it's a bad thing) - but there should definitely be plot and meaning to it all.

Do you have any RP pet peeves? Yaoi fangirls who just want me to play a Gary Stu who'll chase/care/fuck their girl-with-a-dick forever. Being forced to write posts of 4 paragraphs each. The other player disappearing without explanations. Overpowered super-attractive super-smart super-funny (that actually works, but not in the way they intend to be) Mary Sue characters. I'm sure there's more.

How about stuff you just don’t do in RP I don't abuse my characters without them getting some comfort for it later. That's why it's called H/C, hey, there should be a C. Otherwise it's only fit for masochists, which I'm not.

I have a plenty, but here's one: I had a character remain unquestioningly straight because the other person's character was just too much of an annoying yaoiboy and I couldn't find a way to make my guy attracted to him. That kind of ruined half of the plot, too, since he should've struggled with accepting he's bi.

Introduce us to one of your characters from any game ever While we're on the noir subject, there's Scott, who's struggling with his starter P.I. business after being kicked out of the police, which was prompted by him getting drunk, depressed, and morally ambiguous, after being devastated by his divorce. Which, in turn, happened after his wife caught him fucking a guy. He misses his daughter, hangs on to his closet really tight, compensates for the drinking and being a lousy father with an obsession for cleanliness, and tries to build a new career. At the remaining time, he kicks ass, and cooks really mean hamburgers.
Which two characters (that you've played) would you like on your team for the outbreak of the zombie virus? Scott would actually do pretty well, he's very serious about all he does. Also, Dieter, the accidentally straight neonazi, who's both a natural leader and doesn't mind getting his hands dirty.
You ever have a severe disagreement with your character? Well, if you did, what would it likely be about? My characters do plenty of stuff I don't accept in real life, (cheating on your spouse, selling out as a cop, and being a neonazi were mentioned above) but that's usually something they struggle with and grow out of during the game. I like my games to be about character growth and development.

Oh man. Can I just share one of my terrible OLD old old OCs, from when I was 13? He's still surviving as one of my favorite dudes, but at the time he was a young yellow-eyed (for no reason) assasin who was super obvious about it, dressed in black all the time, and could talk to birds. He had a half-demon baby with my friend's OC, which turned out not to be his. There was much IC drama surrounding this.

Introduce us to one of your characters from any game ever Denton Price, a middle-aged former adventurer (rogue type) who has been there, and done that. Essentially, he was a minor minor character in some big epic fantasy book. The annoying kid that sticks around for a chapter and is never mentioned by name, but does something tiny anyway, just enough to get recognized as a part of it. He's fairly well off now because of it, and has a family and a quiet life doing nothing very exciting. He's desperately bored by it, and going through a bit of a midlife crisis.

Richard and Sheila basically did, in their original setting of WoW. So they'd likely be a good bet.

Tell us about one challenging thing in RP that you’ve gone through or that you’re perpetually going through: Finding good RPs for one thing, especially ones that don't have arbitrary minimmum word counts for every post; I hate trying to have a conversation when you're forced to pad out every post ridiculously. I'm also not a fan of playing canon characters these days, with one or two exceptions.
Do you have any RP pet peeves? People whose characters all share very similar characteristics or back up each other constantly; that is, when the player is just trying to force their own viewpoint on a situation as mandatory.
Gripes about the current state of RPing? None really, just depends on where you go.
How about stuff you just don’t do in RP: As already noted, play canon characters; it just doesn't work out that well. With, again, one or two exceptions.
Go on, tell us an RP horror story from your past. Please. The first major RP I was involved in was a Transformers one. It had it's good points; incredibly freeform with very little adherence to canon, so we made our own universe, able to bring in other fandoms if we could (I mixed in quite a few Gundam influences) and fast-paced since there were no necessary word counts. However, the main mod was a terrible player. He god-modded horribly, had an inordinate fascination with poorly-written and graphic sex (very squicky at times; robot-horse/human anyone?), all his characters were also obsessed with sex, were ludicrously over-powered even in a game where everyone was over-powered, and were all manic depressive. If they didn't get their way, 9 times out of 10 they would proceed immediately to a suicide attempt or a near-fatal accident to garner sympathy. This went double for romantic knock-backs. Add a complete lack of pacing, literary ability and subtlely and it was incredibly painful. Yet I kept playing for years... masochism at its finest.

Introduce us to one of your characters from any game ever: One of my favourites is Vix Tilmitt; originally a fandom OC from Final Fantasy 8 (second child of Selphie Tilmitt and Irvine Kinneas) I usually play her in modern day real-world stuff. She's in her early 20s, a short, slim redhead who's almost never seen without a cowboy hat and ponytail, and usually in jeans as well. She's the junior member of a two-person PI firm and loves her job to pieces. Vix is bisexual and promiscuous, although she's been in a pseudo-stable relationship with another woman for a few years now in the main game I play her in, complicated by the fact that neither of them is incredibly good at commitment. Vix is incredibly cheerful and chirpy, generally rather flirty, but very protective/defensive of friends and family. Has a rather rocky relationship with her elder brother, since he spent a long time working for a mob boss, but gets on a lot better with him now he's gone legit.
Which two characters (that you've played) would you like on your team for the outbreak of the zombie virus? Boost and Reynold. Boost is a supernaturally long-lived human-looking alien (long story), but most importantly he's a crack shot, could nail a zombie's frontal lobes from 200 yards without much effort. Reynold is the aforementioned elder brother of Vix, and spent about eight years working as a mob enforcer before leaving that life; now he's a black ops agent. And he's vicioous as hell in a fight, not a bad shot either, so a good man for taking out the undead hordes.

Carefully saved the hides of some crocs that attacked the party so that she could make herself high boots.
Which two characters (that you've played) would you like on your team for the outbreak of the zombie virus? Robin (see above) and Ahmed, my Half-Giant from Al-Kadim. He uses an 8' long iron bar as a weapon, and has been known to go door surfing through enemies.
You ever have a severe disagreement with your character? Well, if you did, what would it likely be about? ...Well, they all tend to have some sort of character fragment, so they don't go too far off model. Though some of them are far more gregarious than I am.
