Here's the poster for the alliance's program on Homosexuality in Children's Literature. I want to re-do his eyes to make them look more lively and nice. Guess my biggest disadvantage in art is that I'm just not bloody patient enough.

Inspired by the good people on B_Lulz, specifically my dearest muse [livejournal.com profile] androgyneninja. I'LL DRAW BATMAN/JOKER PORN MYSELF BEFORE I LOOK AT HET! WITH BIRTHDAY CANDLES!

This took for-flipping-ever, but even so, constructive crit is always welcome. So glad I'm back to drawing.

Show me your battle scars, bishes! Share!

Did you participate in the Harry Potter Civil Fandom Wars? Of course I did!

What were your tour dates? I joined during the OotP releases, when there were still spoiler tags on pictures and information on Sirius being dead. From what I understand (or what I saw) at that point, there was still just a lot of speculation and hope and many essays on why this side or that side was right.

The first time I encountered Harley Quinn was during the animated series. I don't know how old I was, but I do remember it was the explanation episode where she went into her background. I watched up until the flashback ended and someone came in and told me to switch it off (I wasn't allowed to watch violent-ish cartoons).

So I'm not claiming to have a Batman background in this post, but damnit it's not difficult to see fandom trends. Internet fandom dynamics is easy to figure out. They all have the same sub-caves.

The fangirls have noticed that people will leave their stories alone if they don't contain the letters O,F, and C next to the Joker's name. They then noticed Harley Quinn. Then, they figured out that with that body suit and face paint, just about anyone can be Harley, if you get what I'm saying. I love reading sporked Joker fanfics, though. So for Chrissake people, can we establish some rules for Nolanverse? I'll start:

-Nolanverse is more realistic. Penguin isn't showing up. Poison Ivy is doubtful (sad, 'cause I know it could be epic and groundbreaking, on par with TDK).
-NV Joker is different, too. He's got more things going on upstairs. He doesn't work with a Harley Quinn, or any person, really. Gonna go out on a limb here and say that the guy is more or less asexual. Definitely a-romantic, but asexual definitely.
- I take it back. NV Harley-Joker could work, but it'd be so brutal, so abusive, so... nasty that the directors would have to slap it with an R-rating. I'm talking making her mute by ripping her tongue out.
- NV Joker could benefit greatly from a shower

The makers of these lists always have the risk of epic backlash. I'm expecting it, and that's alright. If I have to modify it, I will, because I'm quite the internet coward diplomatic and word weasly.

So here's some Twilight hater art.
Photobucket
I'd like to adopt a more serious style.

Never thought this would expand into a general fandom journal, but it probably will. Two things here:

1- Just saw the pictures of Miss Caves in her Lavender makeup and I'm absolutely appalled. If they turn Lavender into a slut, I'm going to be very not happy. What'd she ever do to them,eh? Just tell me! They'd better do Lavender some justice... though, by the way they made the Patils seem like complete bitches, I don't have much hope.

2- I don't usually follow things on the WB (STFU, CW) but if I have time, I'm going to make it a point to get in early on The Graysons. For the slashing possibilities. That and I like Robin. ...Nobody likes Robin!
I wonder what exactly will make him Robin, apart from the name Grayson. Is he going to solve mysteries? Do acrobats? Charm birds, follow old men around, dress in tiny little shorts? Rob banks?

Momento Mori, DJ Robin.

This journal needs moar fanart.

It's been one year since the Carpet Book and only half of my worst fears have come true. I can't find too many good fics, but they aren't ALL Post-DH fic, and that's good. I was quite worried about that. Still, I miss the golden age of fanfiction--- between PoA and before HBP was announced. That was the perfect time because the fandom was wide open. We could look back on the past in fiction and revise or add bits of it and also we could look to the future without canon guilt clouding our minds or fear of being told "dat no did happan!"

Honestly, fandom, can't we leave one-another alone? Doesn't anyone see that it's about as pointless as arguing over ice-cream flavors? They don't! And I could stand to take my own advice as well. If I want to join a tiny group of people that likes to bash R/Hr, I shouldn't get upset about people that like to get together and bash Lavender Brown. It's nothing personal.

((Keep Watching this space, for by the end of Pride month, there'll be a picture here to sum things up))

Once again, the OBH-ers... alright, just one, that adorable kid that we all know as Hickory Dickory Dak. He sure does have the mouth, though, screaming "VICTORY!" for H/G. I should be laughing, but I feel pretty bad for them. If everyone went and deserted Ron/Draco after we "got our way", I'd be upset. It's just not the same unless someone's there shipping in a nice community. I mean, as a Luna/Lucius shipper, I'm quite lonely and alone. The H/Gers must be feeling it hardcore.
If only we had the Ginny that should have been, and not the Ginny that was Sued beyond recognition.

Ron/Draco continues to dance all over canon's grave (which was sloppily dug by the Epilogue of Doom).

P.S: Don't think we don't see you Ret Coning Dumbledore, Rowling. That's a nasty trick, and I should've known you'd pull a bitch move like that. Literary coward.

OBHWFers and Butthurt, what a combination! They're all sorts of "rawr" after Dancliff and Emson's "maybe" date, and I don't get why. The cute thing is, one of 'em tried to E-mail me claiming thar R/HR shippers are persecuted by H/Hr shippers. Not much, kid, not much.

Anyone that's with HMS_STFU loses all credibility and can pretty much be pegged as a bully with no justification. It's be one thing if they just admitted that they don't like seeing H/Hr shippers happy. I'd totally get it if they admitted it and I wouldn't say a word more. Go with your happiness, kids. Until then...

Photobucket
Our slash ship urinates all over your het canon. And damnit, I do appreciate the fact that I can say that without fearing that the OBHWooFers will jump all over me. Picking on H/Hr is easy for them to do, but they're terrified of starting sh*t with slashers. *Mumbles* I'd like to see one of 'em try to start sh*t with a slasher...

I half miss Hickory Dickory Dak.

That Dik-Dak kid from F.A.P is irritating, but only mildly so at best. Not nearly as annoying as Sandra Claws or Laurel Camer, though. My only consolance is that sometime very soon, the latter of the three will be a complete invalid, pissing her bed and suffering from eldercare abuse, wishing her kids or grandkids would come visit her. Shoot, you don't think she hangs around with us young folk as a substitute for family love, do ya?

It's a dreadful thing when they make you dress like a girl and put acessories in your hair and remind you to sit with your knees closed. It's even worse when they say things like "Oh, you're such a pretty girl!" and "when you become a young woman" and "Isn't she sweet?" and "Because you're a girl, that's why!"

And then, just when you're on your own and are away from all of those hurtful, horrible words...

I promised a Coming Out Entry (A COE) for the fan-fecking-tastic news about Dumbledore, so here it is. I welcome and encourage any and all comments as well. Don't be shy, please; 'specially those that sit on the opposite side of the fandom fence. Tell yer friends. Anonny-commnts turned off because non-journalers always seem to wander in and they're usually the ones with nothing to say.

I should probably make the disclaimer about the facetious hetero comments I toss out there. There it is. I'm not heterophobic; I have lots of straight friends. I just would like them to be discreet about their lifestyle choices if they must commit such acts.

Of course I'm happy that JK said it. Big Al D was the greatest wizard ever for one thing. For another thing, she didn't say "It was Lockheart!" which would just feel rotten. I love Gilly, too, but if the only rainbow boy she had was a fluffy, self-absorbed pretty boy (No, not Diggory!) then she'd just be asking for it.

But I'm also a little upset. It feels like another scrap. She threw lots to her good, loyal, brown nosed pets. Slashers, though are petulant, snarly pets so she's hoping to appease us with this. I don't buy her "If I'd known it'd make you happy" statement for one second. She knows there's slash fic. There have been net news articles about Potter slash and those articles mention JK, her lawyers, Warner Bros. and their knowlege of the whole buisness. There's a link to Irresistible Poison for fop's sake! "Here, have Albus to play with. But no Grindewald. He's not included. If you do take him, the joke's on you because he's wizard Hitler*."

*It's more fun to say Wizard Hitler out loud

For a little bit, I was even feeling petulant. "Oh, so I can't slash Dumbledore without permission? Screw you, I'll slash him no matter what you say! I'm this close to writing Het!Dumbledore just to spite you!" That passed though.

Then I'm a bit sad that I never expressed my adoration for Dumbledore before this. I always did like him, I was just too busy lovingly torturing Ron. I'm also sad that Miss_Celestene is being civil to me, so I may not do the re-zinger comic I had planned. Poor Harpsi-Thing! (I don't understand that nickname they gave me)

I'm also heavily anticipating the Jonny-come-lately slashers. Doesn't that just stink?

I'm kinda happy for Hannah/Neville, though. Yes it's filthy, stinking, unnatural heterosexuality, but I sort of liked the pairing after reading this fantastic piece for HP_Springsmut.

Forrrrrr the record, I never played the Harry Potter Ship Guessing Game. I never tried to predict the end game because it's not fun for me, so I don't get why people think "You're mad 'cause you guessed wrong!" Seems a bit silly.
For another thing, I don't like guessing games (unless I'm being cryptic) and with pairings I always, without fail back the pairing that's gotten shot before the gate even opens. I firmly believe that if I hadn't seen that H/Hr picture back in 2000-something and said "Wow, for a couple of nasty heteros, that's terribly cute!" then it would've stood a chance. It's been happening since Ranma 1/2 through Urusei Yatsura (Ataru/Shinobu!) and my parents getting divorced and the paper boat that was my friends Alex and Jeff and it will happen forever. I destroy couples.

But how do I really feel? I'll show you-

That's gotta make you feel good. It's O-KAY to be GAY, let's rejoice with the boys in the GAY WAY! Horray for the kind of man that you will find in the GAY WAY!

Hey! Ho! Mo! Hey!

It was this or Mika's "Love Today" but in the end I couldn't sit still for Mika. He just makes me want to jump and be all...

ETA: Oh, and there's something about Harry/Ginny being soul mates. I didn't see that until just a while ago. Like I've said before, I can't really bring myself to give a smeg about that pairing, but even so, this new "news" just strikes me as something a girl would write in her diary at a sleepover. That is, it's small potatoes and I can ignore it just as easily as I can ignore ev'rything else.

Everybody's gonna love today, gonna love today! Any way you want to, any way you've got to, Love, Love, ME! Love, Love ME!

First off, if you want to request comfort art to help you heal from The Carpet Book, come here. I fancy this my own littl clinic, though I have no scanner yet. I'll try to get them all done, but you've got to be detailed about what you want. I'm talking detailed! And because I'm just a wanker, I'll probably serve the needs of Harmonians and Slashers first. After all, the Harmonians did get the worst of it and the Slashers... well, I serve my own first! ^_^

Secondly, I have temporarily set my journal to a plus account. That's right. Whoring out my journal as well as my art. I need as many icons as I can get. JK Rowling what the bloody f*ck were you thinking? AS/S forever (and I'm not even a Draco/Harry fan!)

It's us against the DieNevers (AKA the ass-kissing JK can do no wrong folks) and I am prepared to throw down. Screw my depression. A slasher never says die.

Icons I Want

1: AS/S- Bringing R/D and H/D fans together (in snark)
2: AS/S- Have your Dron and Drarry too!
3: AS/S- A slasher never says Die
4: Remus and Sirius: Were in ur afterlife, havin' ghost s3x!
5: Ginny/Hermione Harry/Ron: OBHWF I can get into
6: Harry/Ron IS canon, bitches!

And tomorrow I shall upload my comic I call "The Tables Have Turned"

EDIT: I got my icons! Thanks, [livejournal.com profile] heydigital!!

Damnation! I did not win the Bondage Art Contest! -.- The winners were all "Bribe Entries" --- the mod said in the begining that extra points would be handed out to those that drew her in their bondage art. I mean, she'd be easy enough to draw and in fact, she looked like she'd be fun to draw, but I refuse to draw female bondage. I only abuse young men in my art. There's enough violence against women out there, and maybe I won't stop it by drawing or not drawing something, but damned if I add to it.

Not that I've anything against men, of course.
